Corner Bistro

331 W. 4th Street
New York, NY

Ranking: 30

This simply is not the Corner Bistro of ole. One of the most popular burgers in NYC, we are sorry to report that the burger has seriously fallen off over the past few years. This dive type bar is immediately recognizable by the inevitable line stretching out the door, often providing a very lengthy wait. CB serves up a 9 ounce burger, comprised mostly of sirloin, but with some mixed in round an chuck. The burger is broiled and served with onions, pickles, tomato, American cheese and lettuce. The bun, a toasted sesame seed roll, is nothing special and adds little to the burger. The burger itself, though quite large, is very dry, and the speed with which the burgers are served suggests that they are not cooked or prepared to order. Overall, an affordable burger, but not worth the wait.

Lost It's Luster

Not much to say about this burger... except what happened?  It used to be great, but has been just ordinary over the past few years.  Hopefully they will get things back to the way they used to be.  The original Bistro Burger is missed.
